Network Test Engineers - Routers / Switches / VoIP / Concentrators
Job Description:
Candidate must possess very good technical knowledge and experience in the areas of routing, switching, protocols, advanced network solutions & features. Must possess black box test experience, be able to design the test (sanity/regression/system) test strategy. Be able to define the test scenarios, covering both positive and negative areas in the product test plans) and posses automation skills.
· Network Test engineer with good routing / switch / knowledge
· 4-5 years of practical networking experience preferably with Cisco or Juniper products.
· Work experience with service providers prefered
· Knowledge of any of the following technologies – MPLS / QOS /L2VPN / Multicast / IPv6 / a plus.
· Knowledge of key test tools: Agilent and IXIA
· Cisco certification – CCNA / CCNP / CCIE is a Plus
· Knowledge of Tcl / Perl a Plus

- What are the specific networking products you have done testing for? (routers, switches, concentrators, teleconferencing equipment, VoIP systems etc.)
- Did you help define and write the test plan or were you involved with implementation of the test plan?
- What are the hardware and software tools you used for your test engineering? (be specific with hardware and software tool names and companies who sell those tools (if you know) FDI is really interested in test engineers who have used Agilent network testing hardware and or software tools and another firm by the name of IXIA.
- Nice to have some type of Cisco certification (not required). Do you have or are you close to a Cisco certification? (CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, CCIE or similar)
