QA Engineer
Job Description:
3 or more years of QA experience
Skills Desired:
Quality assurance practices, procedures, and methodologies
VoIP (with SIP protocol)
PBX (any one of: Asterisk, ShoreTel, Avaya)
Networking, WLAN, Windows, Linux
Reliability and load/stress testing requirements
Experience in Test case management tools
Mobile handset certification experience an added advantage
Automation experience an added advantage
Experience in Voice Quality testing an added advantage
Good written and verbal communication skills
Great teamwork, and interpersonal skills highly desired
Essential Functions:
Reviews functional specifications and provides feedback to the developers
Creates Test Plans and test cases
Uploads and maintains Test Case Management Tool
Reviews team members’ test plans and test cases and gives feedback
Sets up test bed and executes required test cases
Validates bugs with previous releases and other supported mobile handsets
Reports software bugs in bug tracking and management tool
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve team productivity via better tools and processes
Works closely with developers for specific features to perform testing as required
Executes needed test cases for mobile handset certification to prepare for vendor certification
Qualification:
Bachelors in Engineering or Computer Science
