VoIP Engineer -Cisco Call Manager
Job Description:
Our Plano , TX client is seeking a long term contract VoIP Engineer III.
Skill Description or Certification
VoIP (CallManager versions 4.x-6.x , Unity versions 4.x-7.x required.
UNIX administration, scripting required.
Cisco Certification: CCVP (or equivalent experience) required.
BGP /MPLS configuration and troubleshooting preferred.
Network Management Tools (any) preferred.
Cisco Router and Switch Configuration (IOS) required.
Scope of Work or Sample Tasks:
Work with PBSG Network VoIP Team to migrate existing users from one Windows version of CallManager cluster (version 4.3) to another (version 6.1) running on UNIX
Develop CallManager administration processes and documentation.
Communicate with other internal groups to hand off standards to deployment and support teams.
Understanding of exporting and importing between CallManager versions and the ability to script is required.
Understanding of UNIX database administration.
Must be able to work independently, but consider team ideas and develop solutions using appropriate compromises.
Show aptitude to take on important responsibilities proactively instead of only doing what it takes to get by.
