VoIP Network Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled, energetic individual who is passionate about VoIP, takes pride in building systems that work well, and enjoys working with dedicated team members.

This position requires a broad technical background as you will be working with a variety of systems and technologies to deliver best of breed voice service to ATG customers worldwide.

Responsibilities:

• Provisioning, installation, and troubleshooting of voice and data networks across ATG and vendor owned equipment and networks

• Assist in the creation and continual improvement of operational processes

• Contribute systems documentation and maintain operational run book

• Create tools and process automation

• Fault detection and resolution, configuration management, change management and performance management

• Participation in a moderate on call rotation.

• Occasional travel to ATG offices and co-lo data center facilities

Qualifications:

• Experience with either traditional PBX or VoIP systems

• Experience working with carriers to provision, install, and operate voice and data networks

• Professional written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent IP networking fundamentals

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

• Expertise in many of the following technologies and protocols: SIP, RTP, TCP, UDP, DNS, NTP, 802.11, OSPF, BGP, DHCP, LDAP, HTTP, ISDN, T1/E1, Ethernet, firewalls, IT security best practices and videoconferencing

• Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science or Analytical Discipline preferred) or equivalent work experience

Highly Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in Linux systems administration in an enterprise environment

• Experience managing complex technical projects

• Ability to script in shell, perl, and/or php

• Cisco CCNP or higher certification
