VoIP Engineer
Job Description:
The successful candidate will possess experience with Window 200x technology, Data/voice networking – (Frame Relay, MPLS, VPN, ATM, ISDN) and VoIP systems the basic requirement for this Cisco VoIP Engineer position. You will also be responsible for resolution of network problem, operating systems. Ideal candidate must have solid foundations of Windows and network security fundamentals, TCP/IP, IIS web service. Good understanding of SQL Servers, Exchange 200x or any Microsoft Back Office Suite servers will be a plus.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for all inbound call traffic to the Call Center, maintenance of all T1/PRI connections, dial-peer configurations for inbound and outbound calling.
• Ability to maintain a complex network to support an Call Center system infrastructure
• Administration and troubleshooting of Windows servers and software products.
• Analyze and troubleshoot network communications failures and bottlenecks.
• Ensures the development and use of an effective preventive maintenance program suitable to meet the operation objective of “”99.9% availability”".
• Responsibility for proactively managing and optimizing network systems.
• Assists in planning, designing and implementing a high quality QoS enabled back-office network infrastructure.
• Assists in evaluating, recommending, and selecting VoIP equipment, services and vendors.
• Maintain and update documentation of the computing environment.
• Travel to Esurance datacenters for system maintenance.
• As a member of the team will respond to all system problems on a 7X24 basis and take part in on-call rotation.
Qualifications:
3-5 years hands-on experience on MS Server system administration skills, server build and server troubleshooting in collocation environments. Solid understanding of LAN/WAN technologies and software tools for performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
• 3-5 Years of design and Implementation experience of dynamic routing VoIP Networks. Hands-on working experience with OSPF, EIGRP or BGP is a must.
• Candidate must have minimum 2 years hands-on experience in project roll out and managing Cisco AVVID architecture, Cisco Call Manager, QoS, Cisco Unity, Cisco IP Telephony and VoIP system.
• Hands-on TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting in a Microsoft Windows networking environment
• Expert knowledge in: VoIP, QoS, SIP, MGCP, H323, video conferencing, video streaming
• Expert knowledge in: Frame Relay, MPLS, VPN, ATM, ISDN
• Experience setting policies, procedures, network software and hardware standards, documentation standards.
• CCNP and MCP required. MCSE certifications are desirable
Skills required: Windows 200x, IIS, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MGCP, H323, SIP, Cisco product line and fluent in at least one scripting language such Java Script or VB Script.
Skill level: Mid level.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Computer Science or equivalent job experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS CCNA and CCNP required, CCIE desirable.
