Cisco Firewall / VoIP Engineer
Job Description:
Showcase your Cisco Firewall and Security skills! This is an exciting opportunity to take your Cisco Firewall skills to the next level with a major leader in the IT outsourcing industry. Position is a 6 month contract to hire opportunity located in Charlotte, NC.
This position is for a Senior Engineer to provide Level 2, 3, and 4 support for client’s Firewall components including ASA, Checkpoint and Symantec Firewalls, along with PIX, and VPN Gateways. Must have a Broad knowledge of Cisco router and switch equipment and be experienced with VoIP including installing and maintaining Cisco Call Manager systems and Unity Voice Mail. Qualified individual will be responsible for creating designs, implementing and supporting small to medium sized solutions as well as providing Tier II support for LAN / WAN network software and hardware.
REQUIRED:
-Broad knowledge of Cisco equipment, including complex devices such as Catalyst switches from 3750 to 6500’s; Cisco routers up to 7200 models.
-Experience with VoIP including installing and maintaining Cisco Call Manager systems and Unity Voice Mail.
-Documentation of network architecture including following formal Management of Change processes.
-PIX, ASA, CheckPoint, and Symantec Firewall experience.
-VPN Gateway skills.
-Network designs and platform layouts.
-LAN / WAN
DESIRED
-Payment Card Industry (PCI) experience – credit cards
CERTIFICATIONS
Both the CISSP for Firewalls and CCNP Certifications are highly desired. MUST have at least one of these Certifications to be considered and it must be current.
EDUCATION
4 year degree preferred, but not required.
