Nortel VoIP Switch Technician/Installer
Job Description:
Allstates Technical Services, LLC Telecommunications Division is currently recruiting for a Nortel VoIP Switch Technician, in the Plattsburgh, New York Market. This is approximately a 1 month project for the installation of a new Nortel CS1000 VoIP Switch. All candidates must have experience with all aspects of installation, test and turn up. 8-5 work schedule, Monday-Friday.

Position Overview:
Complete hands on installation of Nortel CS1000
Responsible for the installation of all equipment & infrastructure
Task to be complete, including testing alarms (internal & external), use of various types of test equipment.
Ability to trouble shoot network problems
Installation of 50 Desk sets, 20 wall sets and other end equipment.
Ability to resolve Telco issues through extensive testing and escalation. Will use various test equipment (DS1/DS3 test set) to determine fault isolation and next steps for resolution.
Qualifications:
Required a certification on Nortel VoIP equipment and CS1000 experience
Computer training (Word, Excel, Outlook) Unix training Vendor switch and site certifications to include Ericsson, Lucent, Nortel, Tellabs & Glenayre as applicable.
Technical Experience:
Knowledge of Voicemail, Cisco Routers, Servers, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN network knowledge.
