Senior Cisco Unified Communications Engineer (VoIP)
Job Description:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Performs voice and data network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose problems
Support voice and data products and services for corporate and call center’s daily operations
Manage internal and external SLAs and provide effective escalation of issues as necessary to voice and data networks
Research and evaluate new technologies and recommend their adoption to Call Center or IT Management
Suggest, architect and implement features and services
Work with department heads to identify needs and implement enhancements
Manage external Telco vendor and supplier relationships relating to voice and data products
Participate in staff meetings and related activities; attend classes and workshops to stay current with Information Technology issues related to telephony
Qualifications
Experience designing and implementing Call Manager in an HA environment. CM 6.x experience a plus.
Hands on experience with Cisco Unity/Connection Voice Mail systems.
Hands on experience deploying H.323/MGCP gateway devices.
Knowledge and experience of IPCC/UCCX preferred.
CCVP required, CCNP & CCIE a plus.
Cisco or Foundry experience a plus
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Microsoft experience, MCSE preferred.
Have the desire to work in fast paced, challenging environment.
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Hands on experience with routing and various protocols
Minimum of 5 years experience with the above systems.
