Service Support Engineer
Job Description:
Service Support Engineer required for pivotal role within a telecoms company based in Sale, Manchester, UK. The successful candidate will need to have hands-on experience in supporting VoIP products & services.
Opportunity to grow with company and take on senior position.
We require the following core skills:
Linux System administration , Shell scripting and Software compiling/installation
Apache Virtual hosts ,SSL, URL rewriting
MySQL 5 Stored Procedures, Stored functions, Views and System maintenance
PHP 5 (inc MySQLi, command line, daemon programming, sockets)
Asterisk (if you do not have this please be prepared to learn) Dialplans , AGI , Manager API and ISDN circuit & card configuration
And experience with the following is beneficial:
•XHTML
•CSS
•JavaScript (inc AJAX)
•Good understanding of networking including routing, VLAN, VPNs, QoS, etc.
•Good verbal and written communication skills are important
