Job Description:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly innovative company delivering business telecommunications services to organisations of all sizes in the public, private and third sectors.

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Asterisk Developer must demonstrate the ability to work alone and as a key member of a fast-paced development team. The role requires a thorough knowledge of Asterisk, including AGI scripting in a multi server environment; OOPHP5, Apache2; MySQL; JSON; CSS and a proven track record of developing in a LAMP environment.

Experience in the following is also desirable:

 Open SIP

 Cisco Networking

 TCP/IP

Main Duties and Responsibilities

 The successful Asterisk Developer will be involved in software design, implementation, testing and ongoing support of highly innovative and mission-critical carrier grade telecoms systems.

 Be responsible for smaller projects as assigned, either in their entirety or in part.

 Carry out activities that may fall outside of this job description.

 Excellent communication skills.

 The role of the Asterisk Developer requires an individual to be a self starter with the ability to work without constant supervision.

 Process driven with strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

 Ability to demonstrate discipline with software design, coding and documentation.

 Ability to demonstrate discipline and consistency with user interface design and presentation.

 A fast learner willing to embrace the company’s products and services.

 Attention to detail whilst also exhibiting a commitment to deliver tasks on time.

 A flexible yet professional individual with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
