We are looking to double our engineering team resources in 2011, and wish to recruit several VoIP engineers with experience in Asterisk to work on our multi-award winning VoIP service. We are a rapidly growing provider of Internet Telephony, email and web hosting. Our development team creates and maintains our internet telephony service, providing cloud-based telephone exchange functionality to thousands of businesses. We are in the process of doubling the capacity of this service to the meet rising demand and to provide our customers with additional security and services.
Essential Job Functions:
Maintenance of existing VoIP products and services
Investigating and resolving customer issues as required by 1st line support teams
Working with Customer Services to exchange knowledge of services and systems
Maintaining individual awareness of alternative VoIP platforms and architectures
Providing insight and suggestions on new VoIP products and services
To perform the role successfully you will be:
Working with in-house integration and middle-ware scripts
Working with databases, primarily MySQL
Maintaining and expanding upon testing procedures
Working with protocols and standards such as SIP, IAX, UDP and TCP
Working on TCP/IP networks that make heavy use of UDP and NAT
Diagnosing and fixing faults in applications such as Asterisk
Working with and maintaining Linux-based systems
Willing to learn new programming and scripting languages
