<p>Position Overview:</p>
<p>Complete hands on installation of Nortel CS1000<br />
<br />Responsible for the installation of all equipment &amp; infrastructure<br />

<p>This VoIP/Contact Center Support Engineer position is in Global Telecom Operations of HPIT. The team is responsible for providing remote operational support of multi-platform telephony-related technology for the general office and contact center environments in the Americas. The Analyst will participate in and/or lead efforts related to the transformation of legacy solutions to next generation Avaya IPT solutions. In addition, manage day-to-day delivery of Voice services (PBX, VM, IPT, and Carrier Network) to ensure adherence to defined service levels. The Analyst will be involved in diagnosis and problem resolution related to supported services.</p>
<p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following,<br />
<br />Expedite new core infrastructure knowledge transfer from engineering teams to operational support team.<br />
<br />Design and implement operational support models for new and transformed environments.<br />
<br />Troubleshoot difficult or complex customer telephony problems using knowledge, tools and resources by coordinating vendors and appropriate IT resources in the problem resolution process. Problems may span across multiple sites, organizations, and technologies.<br />
<br />Investigate, recommend, and deploy service support tools.<br />
<br />Monitor and report metrics for effectiveness of support services to include, service availability, infrastructure capacity and service levels.<br />
<br />Manage service interruptions/outages in a timely manner by working with IT resources, vendors and customers. Prepare and disseminate incident notifications during and final resolution to appropriate individuals.<br />
<br />Particpate in projects with end-users and engineers to implement and test solutions.<br />
<br />Collaborate with HP/Avaya Engineers and coordinate with corporate network staff</p>
<p>The successful applicant will need to demonstrate 7 years of large Avaya voice systems implementation, troubleshooting and support. In addition, the individual should possess solid working knowledge of IP Telephony, Unified Messaging and Contact Center deployments.</p>

<br />Avaya Definity and Communication Manager Certification<br />

<p>Potentially traveling to customer locations to perform installations and/or LAN analysis.</p>
<p>Maintaining regular contact with customers to attain necessary information and provide updates on progress.</p>
<p>Configuring CPE such as VoIP desk phones, ATAs, soft phones, T1 routers, and SIP proxy devices, including advanced routing concepts.</p>
<p>Provisioning and maintaining user profiles using a third-party vendor web portal.</p>
<p>Coordinating and forming solid working relationships with other departments, including Sales, Product/Marketing, Activations, etc.</p>
<p>This position requires the following skills and experience:</p>
<p>Advanced working knowledge of networking, WAN and LAN concepts.</p>
<p>Working knowledge of Voice over IP technology.</p>

<p>The Customer Support Representattive will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of customer support for our innovative VoIP products.</p>
<p>We are located in Monterey, California and offer an excellent working environment with competitive salary and performance-based commission.</p>
<p>Primary Responsibilities:</p>
<p>· Answer incoming technical support calls and troubleshoot customers facing issues over the phone.</p>
<p>· Assist customers with installation of CyberData VoIP products.</p>
<p>· Perform customer callbacks as needed.</p>
<p>· Interact with higher-level technical groups/Engineers.</p>
<p>· Document and track customer’s problems, requests, actions and troubleshooting performed.</p>
<p>· Multitask a variety of responsibilities at once, including troubleshoot documentation while speaking with the customers; navigate numerous information sources while maintaining a high level of phone etiquette in an attempt to discover the root cause of an issue and provide the quickest route to satisfactory resolution.</p>
<p>Qualifications:</p>
<p>· 1 year of technical support or Customer Service experience.</p>
<p>· Strong Networking knowledge, including: LAN topology, IP routing, TCP/IP, VoIP.</p>
<p>· Strong Windows and Linux understanding.</p>
<p>· Network hardware understanding including: routers, switches, hubs, Ethernet</p>
<p>· Ability to assist customers while sitting at a single workstation for an extended period of time.</p>
<p>· Ability to work independently and in a strong team environment.</p>

<p>The Role:</p>
<p>Immediate need for a junior to mid-level Technical Support Representative, for exciting opportunity with rapidly growing Silicon Valley based VOIP platform vendor. Position entails Level 1 phone &amp; email based technical support, fielding incoming customer calls related to support of client&#8217;s IP-PBX product line, both HW &amp; SW. This is an excellent opportunity for highly motivated person who wants the opportunity to work with an exciting technology for rapidly growing, industry leading firm in the VOIP space.</p>
<p>Required experience:</p>
<p>1-4 years industry experience in technical support environment supporting either telephony or networking products. An ideal candidate would be someone who has supported VOIP based telephony product.</p>
<p>Ability &amp; willingness to work shift rotation (Swing or Graveyard), every 6 to 8 weeks for a 1 month stretch.</p>
<p>Knowledge and understanding of Windows and/or Unix operating systems. VxWorks or other RTOS OS experience is a plus.</p>
<p>Knowledge, understanding, and practical application of basic computer systems including disk management, file systems, memory management and related concepts.</p>
<p>Experience/knowledge regarding support of Networking OR Telephony based products &#8211; Knowledge, understanding, and practical application of technologies, protocols, and related standards including layer 3 switching (OSI model), TCP/IP, Ethernet, LAN, WAN, and IP routers. On the telephony side, PBX support or working knowledge of VoIP, related protocols, and standards strongly preferred.</p>
<p>Required skills:</p>
<p>Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.</p>
<p>Excellent troubleshooting &amp; problem solving skills.</p>
<p>Excellent verbal &amp; written communications skills in English.</p>
<p>Previous customer support and escalation experience.</p>
<p>Fast learner able to come up to speed rapidly on new technologies</p>
<p>Must be a team player and excellent collaborative skills</p>
<p>Duties include the following:</p>
<p>Focus on rapid identification and resolution of customer issues.</p>
<p>Provide first level support to partners and customers.</p>
<p>Answer questions and perform initial triage on problem reports.</p>
<p>Document each customer interaction using Siebel ticket management system.</p>
<p>Provide timely and effective resolution to support requests based on internal and external service level agreements ( SLA ).</p>
<p>Technical assistance for hardware, software and/or applications.</p>
<p>Acting as a resource and teaming with those who are assigned to the customer.</p>
<p>Support to those within your immediate team when necessary.</p>
<p>Partnering to create and update technical documentation.</p>
<p>Providing on site installation and other professional services as needed.</p>
<p>Some travel may be required.</p>
<p>Education:</p>
<p>AA degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Microsoft MCSE and/or CISCO certifications are considered a plus.</p>
